Polymorphism can extend beyond pure symmetry content. The aluminosilicates are a gaggle of a few minerals – kyanite, andalusite, and sillimanite – which share the chemical formula Al2SiO5. Kyanite is triclinic, even though andalusite and sillimanite are equally orthorhombic and belong into the dipyramidal stage group. These variances crop up
